Pickled PR with Opies

Here at Voice we are known for our love of food so we were delighted when Opies – one of the oldest family-owned food producers in the UK - decided to work with us.

Opies first began life as Bennett Opie back in 1880 – founded by the eponymous Cornishman who set off to make his fortune in London with just £5 in his pocket. Bennett initially began by selling bacon and eggs, aided by his brothers Richard and Samuel, and business started to boom. In 1912 the venture was so prosperous that he founded a private company, Bennett Opie Limited.

The Opie business has been handed down though the generations and is know in the safe hands of Bennett’s great grandsons William and Philip Opie. Now producing hundred’s of products; from Pickled Walnuts to Organic Mint Sauce; and from Peaches in Courvoisier to Cocktail Cherries; Opies has everything you need for Christmas, New Year and beyond.

We musn’t forget that Opies also offers the very famous Barry Norman Pickled Onions; a traditional recipe of crunchy, sweet and spicy pickled onions brought to you from the renowned writer and broadcaster.

Opies products are distributed in Sansbury’s, Asda, Tesco, Ocado and Waitrose and a number of independent retailers. Barry Norman and his pickled onions will be at the Good Food Show, Birmingham on 26 – 30 November.
